Optical and Weight Grading
Our new grading technology supersedes the existing high cost and inaccurate practice of manual and rough mechanical grading.
With the aid of our highly developed ‘singulation’ method our new graders are able to classify shellfish according to optical size and shape with a processing speed of up to 7 items per second. Following the optical analysis shells are weighed over a digital weight scale at an accuracy to within +/- 1 gram.
Each shell is individually examined with the world’s leading technology and graded according to your specific criteria. Identifying both optical size and weight allows you to discard deceased product, or underweight for size, thus improving packed quality by eliminating product spoilage.
