Hydro Cooling
Hydro-cooling cherries reduces the field temperature and increases the life span of this perishable fruit.
GP Graders work in conjunction with refrigeration experts to provide a range of in-line and off-line hydro-cooling options. In-line options include water tanks or conveying belts, passing under a shower unit, which may be installed throughout the line to chill fruit and recycle water. Off-line options include single or multiple bulk bin immersion units which hydraulically submerge fruit into a hydro-cooled tank. Or, for higher volumes of fruit we manufacture shower units which release chilled water over single or stacked bins of cherries. Bins may either remain stationary in the unit or be conveyed through it. Hydro-cooling is fast becoming essential to improve fruit quality.
