We are very happy that we made this step with GP Graders. The defect program works very well - you can tell the program what is a defect and what is not. That makes a big difference to other programs and is the key to our success.

Greg Mosser
quotation

We were needing a solution for our production and ultimately chose GP Graders because they had the best software programming. We have had good experiences working with the sizers and we are very happy with what they are doing. The cameras are very capable, and we have been getting 70-80% of the defects out thanks to the technology alone.

We saw savings in a really short time. The season before we went with GP Graders, we had 105 people producing 2 tonnes an hour. The next season we had 60 people producing 3 tonnes an hour. We are so confident in the technology’s capabilities that we feel like we can achieve 4 tonnes an hour.”

quotation
Within the first three months since the brand-new installation of our GP Graders technology, we were very pleased with the performance. The results have been exceptional in regard to the consistency from a color and size perspective. Very few customers have been complaining about size which had always been an issue in the past - it is now not negotiable. The defect functionality is very powerful and can pick up things that the human eye cannot see like the softness of the fruit. Thanks to the technology, we have had 30-40% less staff on even with a higher tonnage going through the factory. GP Graders have fantastic to work with, whenever we have rung them, they have been around to respond.

We are currently running two to three GP Graders sorters running in 5 lines; at 33-37 400-pound bins per hour. We have been primarily trying to export a premium pack out and overall the buyers’ reactions have been very positive in a market where the pricing has been positive. GP Graders has been good to work with and their ability to come up with new ideas for the industry has been interesting to watch.

We sent our whole team to Australia to evaluate GP Graders’ equipment and everyone came back saying that it was superior. As a consequence, we ended up with best equipment in the industry. GP Graders’ technology has revolutionised the cherry industry - our sizing is perfect; our grading is near perfect and our labour costs have gone down.
